broaden the horizon
Sometimes we are very sure about what we think is around and / or ahead of us. And then we look up, and there’s more. So much more. Or something different. Maybe even hiding in plain sight.
And it might inuence how we see things or how we do things. Or even WHAT we do.
Maybe it’s a missing piece in your “being different”-picture. Or maybe it’s exactly the thing that your gut feeling told you to avoid - just as valid.
Broadening the horizon might feel like challenging yourself. And it is!
Accept the challenge if and when it’s useful for what you want to do. Leave it for another day if it’s not.
When we arrived and I got our first peek at Villarica, I was feeling crap due to a stomach bug, and wasn’t feeling the climb to the summit at all. We switched days, took our rest day a day early. And it proved to be a fantastic hike across the glacier on a gorgeous day.
Listen to yourself, and don’t shy away from a reasonable challenge!
